Joe "Subiime" Cheong Makes November 9 facebook E-mail

I met Subiime shortly before WSOP 2009.  His talent was immediately evident.  Over the next year or so, he crushed online pokers, running up a decent bankroll and enjoying the success.  I started seeing him at various live tournaments, and there was no doubt in my mind he would end up crushing... although I didn't think it would be this soon.  Joe "Subiime" Cheong has made the November 9 last night.  I watched him from about 200 handed on in, and while he played fantastic I was most impressed with how he handled himself last night when he took (at that time) the sickest beat of the tournament.  (The beat Matt Affleck took was easily the #1 sickest beat of the tournament)  My man stayed calm and collected after a $2M equity beat on a world stage, something I wish I was capable of.  You will all watch it on TV, and he plays the next hand with the same consistency as he had moments before.  Amazing run Joe - thanks for giving DonkDown some hat love until it was financial suicide to continue to do so.  Also big shout to Joe's friends that made for a fantastic drunken rail last night!

Dan Druff Slides into Day 6 of WSOP Main Event facebook E-mail

He's never had a big stack, but lo and behold, Todd "Dan Druff" Witteles keeps surviving at the 2010 WSOP Main Event.  With a few more than 200 left out of 7319 players, Druff sits shortstacked but alive with 380k.  With a peak stack of 525k, he might be the only player left who never broke 600k at any point.  He looks to finally join the big stacks on this critical day, where the final 27 will be revealed.  Rail the action here!

Harrah's Violates Player Privacy By Giving/Selling Complete WSOP Results to the Public facebook E-mail

Losing at the WSOP is bad enough, but at least you can walk away with your dignity, knowing that your losses will be kept private.  Or at least that's how it used to be.  Harrah's is now giving away complete WSOP results, including losses, to the public. This is completely unprecedented in the casino industry, and is a violation of player privacy.  Read Dan Druff's rant about the matter, and discuss it in our forums!
