Hey Druff -

If I understood correctly, you took the 40/80 game at Bike for $2k. But you didn't seem all that thrilled, and seemed to be saying the game wasn't all that good. I play a hell of a lot lower, but if I win that many BBs, I'm thrilled.

Is $2k not a particularly good score at 40/80? Just how many BBs do you need to be winning for the game to be considered juicy?

2k is a good win for that game but just cause he won 2k doesn't mean the game was a good game

??? please explain...i would think any game you are confident you can beat is a good game...

i figure the game was beatable if one made the right adjustments and had just ordinary luck...i thought Druff did indeed make the play adjustments and mixed up his play enough to keep the weaker players off balance.

i saw almost the entire broadcast, including the part that did not make it into the archives (the first hour and a half without comentators and hole card showing) the game looked to me as tight agressive preflop, usually only 2 or 3 to the flop, but in general loose passive after the flop, and a turn raise was almost always a strong hand...true, Druff ran hot, in that over 5 hours (approx 150 hands) he got more than a fair share of high pocket pairs to start, and he usually got paid off when he had a strong hand...he did not get sucked out on, and he rightly folded the turn on several occasions but his villains often chased Druff to the river or showdown...so while the conditions did not look like a wonderfully donkish loose passive table, it looked as if the game was beatable if one played appropriately...there was one donkish player maybe (Squeeky), but also 4 of tight passives (rockish)...besides Druff, only one player (the high limit guy to the left of squeeky) that would put pressure on others by mixing his play--and Druff really didn't get into hands vs the high limit guy...

so while it may not have been a big payoff game, it looked to be one that was beatable without a lot of risk/flux potential

I am confident in just about any limit lineup but the tougher lineups don't mean they are good lineups because mostly all of the players are thinking the same way and it comes down to who runs best because mostly everyone will be making similar adjustments etc .

A good game is filled with 2 or 3 donks spewing money.

Like todd may have beat that game up for 2k but maybe he just ran good in a pretty tough lineup. Not taking anything away from Todds game because he is GOD but I know exactly what he means when he says the game wasn't great
