They assigned 7 other people to the team. 5 of those people are listed as females. Nice.

Appearantly 2 guys I saw at the v got in. 1 recongized the dd hat and he was playing ok and he is taller, way younger than me and height/weight porportional and new to town. Same for his friend who goes by cawfekid but has not posted. 1st guy had a nice stack of bills and chips last nite but left soon after radio and i got a seat. I tried hard to get Emily to sign up but no go.

When do we start kickball?

Just got this email-

"Our field has changed to Sunset Park, located at Eastern and Sunset. When you turn into Sunset Park St. from Eastern, enter the parking lot immediately to the left. The field is under the lights."

That's great. It's a much more convenient location for us west siders.

Both the warm up game and all regular season games will be at Sunset Park. The pick up game this week is at 7pm.

Anybody going to the kick around thurs the 2nd? Thinking about taking a nite off bfor the weekend and 7 nites working is enuf.

no wonder everyone bunts, the catcher cant go past home plate before the ball is hit, the pitcher cant charge past the mound before its hit, and fielders can't be closer than the diagonal of the bases before its hit, even if they tell you they're going to bunt you won't be able to throw them out at first half the time

theres some other rules that are going to create a ton of judgement calls for the refs, and btw apparently paying $70 isn't enough for them to pay refs, so the teams are assigned to ref games and need to get their own volunteers, 6 refs each time for 2 games, 3 refs each, we're assigned to ref 3 times so thats 18 refs, so basically each person needs to ref once and a couple people twice

I first want to apologize to all my fellow D Downers as I have advised Drex about my recent injury/death bed I am on. I think maybe TMMLK passed some shit through witchcraft on me as I have been diagnosed with a cuboid bone fracture also suffering from awful plantar fasciitis that I wouldnt wish on my worst enemy. This shit actually started way back when we first had our OG kickball game.

Im gonna try to do all the after surgery rehab and were this fucking awful boot and be back in the next 2 weeks or so. Pictures will be coming of the after surgery which is gonna happen on either Saturday or Monday. Supposedly Coblation surgery (aka Topaz procedure) has been used successfully in the treatment of recalcitrant plantar fasciitis. This procedure utilizes radiofrequency ablation and is a minimally invasive procedure. SOUNDS LIKE FUCKING BS

Yes we did get jerseys. Light blue is our color, fitting, just like the site. This reminds me... Barry, Hardeight was supposed to get two jerseys, he paid the extra money for the second.

As soon as Jeff handed me the shirts, I asked him "did anyone order two?" and he handed me a printout and pointed to the column of all 1's and said "no, everyone ordered one". Unfortunately, that list got mixed in with my rules printout and I accidentally tossed it. Hardeight, email Jeff and see what he can do.

The only jersey I have left over is Gank's. I hope someone took one for Lawn Cigar. I looked around after the game and there weren't any left on the field. Our color is "Carolina Blue", so an inside out Tarheels shirt will work.

ThaKilla is a lock for the All Star team. He's kickball's version of Wade Boggs.

I was quite proud of my over the shoulder Willie Mays catch. We'll forget about the one I dropped.

Just a damn good job all around for our first ever kickball games. We had one bad defensive inning in 2 games.

That's a super bad beat with your foot. Don't rush back and injure it again. If you miss this season, I'm planning on doing it again.

Great fun and the cool weather helped. Lawn Cigar get well soon, but don't rush it. Props to thakilla, the unkown pitcher, Barry for a over the shoulder catch and 1 of the women for a great catch. meh at kicking .500, how close was the throw to 1st when I slid in. Seemed to feel the ball coming for my shoulder and that giant at first was moving towards me so i just got down quick. I really want to practice the sidearm throw the pitcher was using, looked better using more of the upper body, like untwisting down on a golfball. Our catcher has to get more active, run behind kicker a step and snag the really short bunts.
