So supposedly someone secured rights to the book and cast MR as Iceman.
Could be an incredible film. Buuuuuut safe to say it wont be, and will probably be about 20 minutes of the least spectacular murders he committed with another 75 minutes of footage of Kuklinski being a great Catholic family man.
I mean seriously; are they going to show Mickey Rourke tying up a dude in a cave and video taping rats eating him alive, then watching the tape the next day?
Im pretty skeptical on that one, I dont think that film gets funding somehow.
Who knows tho, Mickey Rourke is crazy enough to insist on the movie being done right...

The donkumentary with him was maybe the best one i've seen of that genre. Dunno if anyone 'hollywooding' that masterpiece could do the reality justice. Any word on the Director?

The word is that the guy who wrote the *book* about Kuklinski (Phil Carlo) had optioned it to producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura and apparently in Aug. of 2009, Bonaventura wanted to extend the option so he could convince Channing Tatum (!!!) to start as Kuklinski.
Carlo, rightfully, shot that shit down, and hinted he wanted Mickey Rourke to play him at the time. Apparently hes been standing strong on the subject and just resigned an option based on Rourke's interest.
Of course that means fuckall, plus Rourke would also suck at playing Kuklinski probably, but certainly less than Channing fucking Tatum.

This seems like it will be good. OP what is your problem with Channing Tatum. You can't deny that he wasn't really good in "She's the Man". But I guess if Rourke is good enough for Tupac he is good enough for me.

This is great news, although I think it will probably be a mediocre flick. Not sure if his story will translate well onto the screen. True serial killer type of stories never really do. They sure as fuck make for great documentaries though.
FTR, Kuklinski has always been my favorite Iceman, Teddy ain't got shit on him.

I don't see Mickey Rourke pulling it off. You need a good character actor, plus Kuklinski was a huge fucking guy, Rourke just doesn't have the physical presence. Off the top of my head, I can see someone like David Morse pulling the role off a lot better. Big guy, has the acting chops. Played emotionless in The Crossing Guard very well, which is kind of what you need for that role. Of course, he can't open a movie with name value, but it would be a better film.
