In the county jail, I never seen a thing. When I was sent up the road (prison), the amount of punks around made rapping a non issue. I can say that anyone that was in for Child Molestation and such usually didnt enjoy themselves too much.....UGA

I dont mind sharing my story. If one person learns that selling drugs is wrong and quits or doesnt do it, Its worth it. I started selling weed in High School (thanks big brother) and it grew from there. I sat in the county jail facing 20 years to the door when I was caught in 1999. I was 28 and I had been selling weight at that point for six or seven years. I didnt not see that it was wrong and I loved the fast money. I always said to myself, If I ever get caught, It will be my first time, pay a lawyer and get out of it. Not so easy. I had to pay two lawyers a total of 20k and I still recieved 8 years with 5 to serve. I refused to give up my source so they wouldnt even give me a Bond. I had never even had as much as a ticket and here I was rooming with a guy that cut a girls head off with scissors. It wasnt easy going to sleep at times. The guys name is Randy Smallwood. Im sure you could pull up the story somewhere. I had known him from the streets and he swore that he only went to the scene afterwords with a friend, Chris Redwine, to help clean up. After getting home and talking to an ADA, I was told that it was the other way around. He was the sick one, not Chris. I always had the mindset of "well if Im not selling the dope, someone else will, why not make the money. I never realized all the familys that I was affecting by my actions....UGA

One funny thing that I remember were these two 18 year olds fighting over a chili dog. They had made a bet on a football game and When it came time to pay, Kenny Love didnt want to pay. Charles George wasnt hearing it. In jail, there is a rule. Lick passed, debt paid. These two guys fought for like ten minutes. One of the best fights Ive ever witnessed. In the end Kenny got to eat his chili dog. Neither one of these guys EVER had money on the books so that chili dog meant alot to them. I wonder how good it tasted with Kennys mouth all swollen and filled with blood...UGA

UGA, the penalties for X got much harsher after 2000. If you had gotten away with it for a couple more years, you would probably would still be in jail.
I lived in a house across the street from an elementary school. If we had gotten busted for posession of coke or pills, we all would have gotten triple penalties just for getting arrested within 500 yards of a school.
I have read that about half of everyone in prison is primarily there for a drug-related offense. Would you say that's about right?
Jesus christ we need to change our drug laws. I don't see how in the hell we're going to get them changed, but that's just fucked up. Russell Simmons was vocally supporting changing NY's tough ass weed posession penalties, but his wife got busted and I havn't heard anything about it since.

I would say that is accurate. I cant believe how many people were in because they got caught with just a crack pipe. The laws need to be changed. I have no problem with my sentence becasue I know I was wrong. A friend of mine in Alabama, I live right on the border, he got caught with 1 sales case of 1/4 ounce of weed and served seven years for it. Amazing......UGA
