You in a manic episode, bro?

I think the State of Nevada offers free healthcare to those unemployed. They should be able to help you out, get you on your meds, and stabilize you.

ok I'll feed the troll.

Marty how m,any live $10k events have you played?

How many times have you appeared on ESPN for poker?

How many people recognise you in public and want to talk with you about poker?

Thread would be a lot more crebible if it wasn't posted by a 40 year old man who writes love letters to "famous" poker pros.

How about asking him how many live events over $500 he's played.

Forget $10k!

I think the answer to that (the $500 question, not the $10k question) is "two".

I'll never understand why Marty, a career losing poker player, taunts Micon about his record.

Seems odd he is spreading his exceptionally thin resources to attack both Druff and Micon at the same time though, seems he isnt a military history buff either.

There are a lot of social poker players who dream of becoming professional poker players. I think most people who have an enjoyable hobby or activity dream about how nice it would be if they could make a living at doing the thing that they love.

Only a few people, the cream of the crop, are actually able to make the successful transition from amateur to professional status. For every artist that has a fine reputation and rakes in the big bucks, there are hundreds of would-be artists who seem to put out high-quality work, but make little or nothing by way of income.

At poker, a lot of people play well enough to make some extra pocket money, but few are able to earn a comfortable living. The reason is you not only need to show a profit; you must also cover your living expenses.

Let's put this into concrete terms. In a hold'em game, when you pick up a hand like A-5 suited or J-10 suited, you do not hold the best hand if someone is in the pot ahead of you or there are a large number of players behind you yet to act. If you do not have the best hand, you have a drawing hand. These hands need to be folded in higher-limit games unless you are in late position and the pot is unraised.

Changing some of your ideas about what constitutes a good starting hand is only one of the many adjustments you need to make in your game if you want to earn a living at poker.

Yeah, but atleast old balls poker advice is spot on. I wonder if he sells a starting hand chart that would help transform me into a winning player.

why thanks coach. your first lesson was very insightful and compelling. looking forward to the next informative post. could you please discuss the dynamics of the squeeze play? and draw up a scenario which would be the best situation the play should be utilized. I will need visuals, so I hope you're familiar with software that will allow you to run through the hand step by step. thank again.
