he did have some minor consideration for others lives by running into basically a moving wall. but off course if the driver got hurt or died im sure hels would go for round 2 on the suicide thing. i know if my dad or someone was driving the truck id be pissed that someone hit him, drunk, asleep. but if i ever found out it was on purpose in a suicide attempt. id probably go finish the job my self. and hels you shouldnt get into relationships they generally suck. hookers dont have feelings and you basically pay them up front instead of buying them dinner and taking them to the movies. and if your in the mood you can kill them and they wont be missed

Anyone in a deep enough state of depression to want to die cannot think rationally. Depression is a sickness. Would you call someone stupid if they had been shot in the stomach and while trying to drive themself to the hospital crashed head on into a truck? You probably would not. The mind is a very powerful thing and when someone has a severe "injury" to it, like a deep state of depression/loneliness/helplessness, that person can be just as incapable of controlling themself as someone with a severe flesh injury.

There is obviously a lot more to this than just "being bummed out because he was a loser in poker and his lady dumped him." Minor things like those are usually not reason to become suicidal but can easily be used as excuses to be suicidal. I can tell you from personal experience (someone I know not me so you can save the "BEWARE OF CRAZY PERSON" posts) that people can go into a different world when they suffer from severe depression or anxiety. It is like they are a totally different person than what they have been their whole life and even if they are able to understand that things will get better, they can't change how they feel because depression can be much deeper than just certain things like relationships not going their way.

I've said all I'm going to say about this and I think we are going to have to agree to disagree because obviously we have totally different mindsets. In the future though, if one of your friends comes to you and tells you that they are thinking of committing suicide, I hope you don't tell them they are stupid.

Also when you are debating something, it is usually not a good idea to start or end your statements with phrases like "what an assclown" "idiot" or other things of that nature. now i don't know you, but from my standpoint this screams out as a cry for attention rather than a true suicide attempt, as so many suicide attempts turn out to be. you want your ex and your family to feel bad for you, because lets face it, you feel bad for yourself and you don't want to be alone. then you come on here and confess your whole story, maybe for sympathetic remarks? who knows, you sure got plenty of them. but the fact of the matter is, if i was going to kill myself and i grabbed a razor blade, i wouldn't have bandaids handy for immediately after the slicing.

now i feel bad for you because depression is a horrible thing. it runs in my family so i know all about it first hand. one of my relatives actually purposes drove on the wrong side of the highway but immediately pulled in the breakdown lane because she couldn't go through with it. she didn't want to harm anyone else. man, if you really wanted to kill yourself in a car crash and cared about not harming others, you'd have undone your seatbelt and drove 120 mph into a huge tree or light post.

I have a few things to say about this, in no particular order:

1) Hells - holy shit, holy mutherfucking shit. Everyone has said it, and if everyone says it, it must be right - never ever ever kill yourself over a girl. And if you are going to actually off yourself, at least go out like a rockstar: parachuting and not pulling the cord, partying all night with all sorts of insane drugs and strippers and stuff. Intentional Head-on? bullshit. At least do it better.

2) Hells - you are very lucky, but for a different reason. Doyle Brunson had a near death experience, then came back and won 54 strait sessions in a row. A near death experience has been key for a lot of ppl's lives turning around. It may make u a fantastic poker player. you may be able to let go of loss, failure, and fear - making for concentration only on the important factors of the game. PLEASE TELL ME IF YOU PLAY BETTER POKER NOW - NO BULLSHIT I REALLY WANT TO KNOW
