after my session times out I log back in but this message still appears

but it does let me login

To fix this for now:

if your session times out or you close your browser and re-open it. DO NOT LOG BACK IN WHILE ON ONE OF THE FORUM PAGES. Log back in on the front page or any page OTHER than FORUM or GALLERY (Gallery is actually part of PHPBB). That should solve the problem till I debug this issue (hopefully this weekend).

I click logout whilst browsing the forum, it redirects me to home page but keeps me logged in. I click logout on the main DD page, same. It's impossible to log off!

What browser are you using? Sounds like the cookie isn't being reset. Also sounds like its not deleting from the database your session. Very odd. I will definitely have to look into that.
