http://thinkprogress.org/politics/2011/12/07/383927/romney-100000-cover-records/

Quote:
Romney led an obfuscation campaign that state officials described as “unheard of.” Staffers deleted emails, purchased official hard drives, and otherwise obliterating digital records of Romney’s time in office.

As the presidential candidate himself explained, these efforts were designed to prevent “the opposition research team” from accessing what should be public records.

Now, according to Reuters, Romney used state funds to carry out this political activity...

I'm sure just as much stink will be raised about this as there was about Obama's birth certificate, right?

He may be the next president of the country of which I am a citizen so yes I am concerned about it.

If Obama had done this, Fake Noise and the right-wing talk radio hate machine would be attacking like hyenas.

BTW I love that fly in your sig. It got me good the first time.

He knows the US will need all the cash that we can get our hands on to pay his Chinese overlords.

From what i've heard of this was that it was completely legal and every administration does it when they leave, but somehow Romney is supposed to be a bad guy for doing this when every other politician that had done it previously is an ok fella. Amazing that libfags can give guns to drug dealers in an attempt to subvert the second amendment by the assured mayhem that doing that would unleash, yet this Romney thing is somehow an affront to humanity.

"From what I've heard ..." From WHERE ? Why would every administration spend money to replace computers to cover up what they did as elected officials? Of course there will be excuses thrown about for this. EVERYONE has an excuse for this type of thing.

Then you rant on about libfags and some weird out there conspiracy theory.

Your level of rationalizing is exceptional.

You're not only insane, you're a fucking moron. Ahh the Republican base. Either rich or stupid.

What is your source for the contention that this is a common practice? These record are public property and the people's business. Anyone who does this is breaking the law regardless of their party affiliation. Source please.

Also regarding giving guns to drug dealers (and laundering their money as we've found out in the past couple of days), that's pure insanity, but completely unrelated to this.

You're the one that runs around looking for source material, when you're out there provide the source of where public records were destroyed. That part seems inferred, not concrete.

Just as an aside, I don't care at all for Mit. Anyone have the backstory on HOW he ended up as a politician in Mass. instead of MI? Makes no sense to me.

Read the article again. Their source is Reuters.

I am not providing your source material for you. You made a claim that many politicians do this. What is your basis for saying so? Or are you just talking out of your ass?

The 'crazy' edition:

I guessed what you were referring to, without you ever posting anything. I still feel confident enough to dismiss it to the looney bin. ATF tries to increase regulations, no surprise. There isn't really big money in guns, they won't have a push in any other direction. This whole Mexican scheme is some weird half baked idea. The actual idea that it is some grand conspiracy and comparing it to romney purposefully destroying public records is serious LOL.

Alex Jones is a total joke. Jewdonk is a big fan. You should go to his apartment and you guys can sit on teh floor eating popcorn watching the latest conspiracies. LOL.

Seriously, that guy is from my hometown. Used to see him pranked constantly on access TV. My favorite Alex trick is he interviews some guy who doesn't know English but is in a foreign military. He asks a question. The guy just kinda says yes and nods his head, like a person who can't hear you or understand you. Alex takes that as a solid yes to his question and gives it as proof of some conspiracy. ROFL. Keep it up 4dragons.

Never said you were a Republican, just that you are very very much like their base. You're probably a Republican much like I'm a Democrat.

I'd still like a the source that this is a common practice. This defies common rational thought to me, so I am doubtful. You haven't done this. No surprise.

All of this

LOL @ Alex Jones

That being said, the ATF giving guns to drug cartels and the DEA laundering their money is an outrage.

Neither of you mutual butt-sniffers mentioned the CBS report. Solid.

He lived his adult life, or most of it to that point, in MA.

Went to Harvard for his post-Mormon education, after BYU. Don't now if he laid down roots right away, but he worked for Bain & Co and (I think) started Bain Capital, both based in Boston. Lost a Senate run to Ted K, went back to Mormonville to run the Salt Lake Olympics, then came back to Mass for a term in the Governor's office.
