That is Michael Clemente. He approached me a few weeks ago at The Orleans and asked to stake me and my top horse Goldfarb $80k and move up in limits. It immediately sounded like a scam. Turns out he was using my name all over town, telling people we had done business for a while when we hadn't done anything but talk in the Orleans poker room for 20 minutes.

This guy is a typical Justin Wade Smith type. Clemente told "The Fun Time Friends" (nickname for Goldfarb's Orleans crew of loveable misfit up-and-coming pro poker players) that he had $90k at the Orleans sports book and other laughable lies, and reasons why he couldn't access the money. Clemente hung around the $8/$16 Omaha game and went out with the Fun Time Friends (TFTFs) a few times bowling, or drinking, or whatever. He spent a few weeks almost every night at The Orleans. He told TFTFs that his father and him were very rich, he was comped at The Orleans, would play thousands of dollars of pit games, and bet huge on sports. No one ever saw him do any of that.

So a few weeks of befriending go by, and Michael Clemente tries to "air barrel" a dealer at The Orleans. He does this by taking the dealer's bet for a football game. If the dealer lost, he would collect. If the dealer won, he wouldn't pay. The dealer ends up winning the sports bets. The dealer that was scammed will remain anonymous, but is making an account here and will post about this and fill in the details of the rest of the scam, but all in all the dealer is owed about $1k from Clemente after a few days of hanging out with him, doing whatever business they did. I believe a poker game was also involved, of course the dealer bought Clemente in, but I'm not certain the arrangement.

The dealer was really counting on that $1k from Clemente. In fact, rent was in great jeopardy. Michael Clemente had no intention of paying back the dealer, and to this day is walking around The Orleans with little to no repercussions. I told him 48 hours ago as Goldfarb was FT'ing the Friday night lolament like a boss that I would be making a scammer thread if he did not return the dealer's $1k and he told me he would "deal with me" etc. I am making this public so no poker player or anyone else loans this man money. I am hoping that The Orleans and wherever else he shows up bars him. He is currently, and will continue to, scam casino customers if he is allowed to be inside talking to patrons. He tried to sell a guy a bottle of liquor for $25 this weekend in The Orleans.

The dealer will likely be on radio either this week or next. Full story on Radio. Goldfarb gets big ups for snapping the picture, and in standard scammer fashion has threatened that "he'll see me tomorrow" and that he came down to beat up Goldfarb and other lolz scammer threats.

Also of note I verified his scammings with a few well known online poker players and a handful of people in his home town. He is 100% filthy, he owes $ all over, and he's definitely actively scamming within the in the Las Vegas poker scene and likely the sportsbook scene. In true PeterDC style he fancies himself a sportsbetting genius and in classic Justin Wade Smith style he always needs $.

Will update as needed.

Guy sounds like a typical scumbag scammer and it is good to get the news out BUT should anyone feel bad for this dealer?

The dealer is making 1k bets when he is already tight on rent

The dealer is trusting some guy he barely knows to book a 1k bet

If the dealer was that tight on rent and he lost the bet then I wonder if he could even cover to pay the bet himself

Why doesnt the dealer walk to the sportsbook on his break? Is he not allowed to bet at his own casino? If so, i think theres one or two or other sportsbooks in vegas (ive heard of a few, but i could be wrong). I'm confused by this and think theres more to this story.

And, since the game won, and it sounds like the guy is only out the $1k, did the scammer say something like he never placed the bet and returned the original $1k? The story has some holes in it.

i agree LA...doesnt sound like the dealer is "really" out since it doesnt say that the dealer handed over any cash...sure he didnt collect but thats different than being out a grand

micon also makes the assumption that if the bet didnt pan out that the dealer would have paid up. the lesson is dont place/take bets with anyone but the book. seems foolish to do otherwise and the dealer should automaticly receive the "tin foil hat" when he signs up

also micon there comes a point and time in your life that you need to disassociate yourself from groups of guys that have a nickname

Id guess the dealer placed a $250 bet at 4-1, something like that, not a 1k bet at even money.

In fact Id bet Scammy McScammer was like "the line is 3-1.. but I get some a great deal that I can give you 4-1 on it if you put $250 on it."

Whatever happened to people dealing with these situation themselves? Is the gambling world this pussified nowadays? You don't have to be a badass to to get in the guys face and make him really think about his decision to not pay. It seems like all that is ever done is a thread is made on a poker website and everybody laughs and nobody ever gets paid. Tell the dealer to man the fuck up and go get his $. Also, why the fuck is he gambling with rent money?

having seen a few poker community scammers operate, I've noticed that they like to name drop. problem (for them) is, they name drop people who don't have anything good to say about them.

also, i'm not sure of all of the details of the rolling, but clemente admitted to bryan that he owes the money. he's just refusing to pay. when told he would be outed, clemente responded with thinly veiled death threats...these scammers are so predictable.

What was his reasoning for not paying? Was it just fuck him I ain't paying

Yes. And from checking in with various people he's name dropped, that's standard for this guy.

The dealer most likely had to give him the 1k to post the bet, and the guy took it and just kept it, hoping the bet didn't win. The dealer probably never bothered to ask to see the ticket. So the dealer is probably out 1k, but hes an idiot for betting 1k if rent was gonna be an issue and I would also be weary of doing any financial dealings with that dealer as well.

doubt it, guy prob said he takes bets, or could get him action, or could get him reduced juice

If the guy actually gave him the 1k up front when there are sports books all around town then LOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

Too fucking funny. What a bunch of fucking pussies all you poker playing people are.

First of all, Waaaa he's out rent money? LO FUCKING L who is betting 1k to hopefully pay rent????? DONT FEEL BAD, SORRY

Secondly, if I am reading this right, he didn't even give him the 1k, he just bet and didn't get paid. Well, if this was his rent money he was depending on, how the fuck was he going to pay if he lost? LOL DEGENERATE PUSSIES LOL

LETS RUN TO THE INTERNET AND OUT THIS GUY! WOOP!

We can't wait to hear about this on radio! Let me tell you, I am sure this will be a doozy! Everyone is interested in your little circle jerk nicknames groups losing 1k to some dude who didn't even have to make an excuse to take your money. He just said FUCK YOU, and laughed in your face. Let me tell you though, this thread will really get him bad! lol....

Oh, and if the dealer gave him the money to make a bet because dealers can't make bets in their own casino? Guess what, served him right, lesson learned cheaply for 1k. Lucky he didn't bet 10k. If he was allowed to bet and was just lazy or felt he was getting a better "deal" from this dude, guess what, YOU DESERVED IT AGAIN.

People are so fucking dumb. Hopefully this scammer isn't as big a bitch as you and your vegas crew and actually follows through with some of his "threats

edit : Yup "If the dealer lost, he would collect. If the dealer won, he wouldn't pay.:

He didn't even have 1k stolen from him. He just never got paid, and if that was his "rent money" who the fuck knows if he was ever going to pay in the first place.

Sweet story. Trying to be the poker TMZ, the only thing you have in common is both are run by complete fucking kikes

Have you ever been to the Orleans? If tested, 95 percent of the people there would be classified as mentally retarded.

A hotel filled with white trash addicted to gambling is a scary place.

I would have assumed every circle of people in Vegas had at least one person in it willing to get physical if debts aren't paid. I mean, this is 1k but obviously stories surface everyday that involves serious $. Is it really that hard to find someone, in Vegas of all places, who will smash some heads for some $? Do it once or twice and the reputation alone will be enough to get people to pay. Micon isn't the toughest guy in the world, but he at least seems smart enough to keep someone around who is. The whole, "you will be outted and have a thread made about you" is the lamest fucking threat I can possibly think of. It borders on downright pathetic. These are grown men ffs. Start acting like it.
