Recent change in your policy is that all HeroPoker freerolls have a playthrough requirement...
will this policy change also include the Wednesday night Cold Call torney you sponsor?
thats okay with me if you do include the playthrough policy, because you still give us full credit for the prize won in advance of clearing the playthrough---and i understand you need to plug a leak created by freeroll abusers
but still, an announcement to the DD players should be made imho
This chink has way more on his plate that he should be worried about.
wat? chinks with a plate? you mean they no longer eat from rice bowls held under their chins while using chopsticks to fling food into they mouths....?
anyway, down to business....HeroPoker says its a boutique site with stellar customer service, and DD is a jewish site, thus its expected of us to be both demanding and whiney...soooo (or rather ahh so)

Notice a new accolade when you make the money in the triumvirate or the Top 9 Pays $11 tourneys. Must be pretty recent because I did not receive one for my triumvirate cash on January 26th, 2012.
Had over 100,000 chips yesterday and still did not place in the top 9 pays $11 tourney.

First off thanks for all you are doing, its much appreciated. Ive mentioned to you before about some better sng sattys. With the Poker Maximus coming up, i really hope you can somehow help get this in place. It will make for more entries, Im sure.
the $11 freezeouts, and even rebuys, could really use a 10 man single table that has a buy in of $3.50 plus your rake, award out 3 seats and anything extra to 4th, these will fill like crazy as they have on another site
The $33 events need a $11 10 man single table sng, again 3 seats get rewarded and the rest can goto rake of $1 per person just like the standard sng's, and the odd $1 to 4th
then obviously that leads to the $109 buy ins where we could use a $33 10 man single table sng where you give out 2 seats and put the rest to 3rd
this is a great way for players with small bank rolls to work their way up as each ticket can be used for the next highest sngs. i hope you have the ability to see about getting this or a variation as i think it will make for a better, juicier series

You are correct on this. Should not be as hard as it sounds, as we will not win $50 frequently. To see your progress, Go to the lobby, click Player Admin, then click Bonus Exchange. Tthe points requirement apply to all playthrough simultaneously. So right now I have some 25 cent, 50 cent, and $1.25 playthroughs that are all getting completed at the same time instead of one at a time. So 125 points of play will knock out all three of these playthroughs, instead of having a 25, 50 and 125 requirement. Huge difference.

The playthrough really isn't that big of a deal. I had 50, 30, and 20 in winnings. The $20 cleared up so fast, then came the 30. Hugh chunk cleared of the 50, and I play low stakes. Not to mention I only play an average of 2 hours a day recently. Just forget about them, and before you know it, it's clear. What takes forever to clear are those bonus money from the treasure chests.

Why no "weekly" donkdown freeroll last night? (Feb 15)
Can the usual prizepool be doubled for next week's freeroll?

I'd rather have double the places, lol. But maybe they are stopping because Hero is leaving DD for aussiepokerradio.net. They have no reason to besides the fact people are still more active here, and 2+2, then that site. That aussie site looks dead every time I go, and I stopped. If they aren't going to properly promote that site to conglomerate player communications, it can be a good business decision to simply stop offering the private DD freeroll and start one on the aussie site. Definitely don't think this is insider info. I'm just saying it's possible.

David, you've done a great thing sticking by DD and being a loyal sponsor, but now it's time to do the right thing and pull your sponsorship. Maybe even move it over to DanDruffPoker.com once that gets up and running.
This is just a notice that DonkDown and Hero Poker have decided that this will be the last month of sponsorship. To that end there will be no more DD invitational freerolls for rest of the month. Hero's marketing focus has changed over the past few months and so this was purely a regional marketing decision. To be clear, Hero is still fully committed to all of our player base, but this is more of growth/development issue. I have spoken to Micon about this and we thought it best that I make this closing post as well.
I would like to be clear, while I personally have weighed in on some issues here, Hero Poker, as a sponsor has always understood that we are just a sponsor. To that end, we've never felt that we needed to take a side or really comment on how DD is managed. In actuality, throughout whatever ups and down DD has gone through internally, they have always put us first as a sponsor and it has been much appreciated. So I would like to thank Micon for the support that DD has always provided and given us a chance to be a sponsor in the first place.
A few days I took the time to read through many of the posts here from the last year and mainly through this thread. It brought back a lot of memories of DD and the really difficult time it was back then. And the reality is, in terms of the poker industry, nothing really has changed, the risks are still the same, and I still wouldn't argue against that, even with all the progress and developments. To say that it has been a difficult year for everyone would be an understatement, but being a sponsor of DD has been exciting and eye opening as well as sometimes very fun. I learned a lot about degen humor and had some guides along the way, but in many ways, we end as we have started.
Of course the best times I think were the hardest time and that was at the beginning with Micon, Dandruff and Drexel. I think all three of them know how highly I think of them in both the contribution and their unique characters. When I was a business student in university, our professor asked, 'which is better, to have a team which is all from similar backgrounds or a diverse team?' And ultimately the answer was, 'if you can manage a diverse team, then it's better because the final results while not predictable have benefited from that creative tension' - but all businesses go through a lot of phases and what is good for the 'music, may not be the best for the band'. And that is what will always be difficult in creating something of value. I always knew it was going to be difficult to establish Hero in this climate, but DD was integral to that. While other sponsors may have felt that this was too high risk, for me I figured, if Hero can make it out alive and survive at DD, then we can pretty much survive anything. So sincerely, thank you Donkdown for being a great community and allowing Hero to a sponsor here.
I did want to do some final shout outs to some members who have been really supportive and given me a lot of insight, but I'm really afraid to leave some people out, but you know who you are. I have appreciated your insight greatly in chat and in the threads. If you have any issues at any time, please just email us at marketing@heropoker.com. Of course I still will be tuning in as I have before our sponsorship. I wish everyone the best in all things.
Kind Regards, David Hero Poker CEO

Thanks Dave.
You have never shit the bed and I appreciate that.
Dave is pretty much the stone cold nuts, I have emailed him on a personal level asking questions that I would ask the non-english speaking customer service reps on the bovada live chat and he has snap responded with great answers, and this is the fucking CEO of the company. Thanks for going above and beyond for a small group of degenerates looking for a little bit of fun and a free sawbuck every week.
