Well managed to listen to the show via the archives. Have to say say it felt a bit "missing", almost like you guys really did'nt want to do the show?

Audio quaility was very bad, you do know you can still access the "Stereo Mix" via the audio control panel. You have to right click and "unhide" the damn thing LOL!.

Lets hope the next show is not a "dumpster fire" but we all have off days

The stereo mix problem is FAR more complicated than you're making it out to be.

It ranges from difficult to impossible to fix, especially on newer machines.

The machine we did the show from (my 5 1/2 year old laptop) was never all that good for radio. The laptop went DD right after the show was over. The audio issues on Wednesday were due to this laptop's sound card not mixing the sound well -- the microphone (my voice) is always too soft compared to everything else, regardless of how much I turn it up.

Hopefully Micon can get his new machine working well with stereo mix, or we're fucked for next week.

Hey Dan, didn't mean the post to sound the way is read, I know you guys had a tough day and a lot of laptop problems to deal with. Have to say most laptops have a pretty crap sound card buit-in so fair play to you.

for got to add that Vista will "auto control" the mic on headsets, its best to switch on the laptop with the mic plugged in. Thats helped with a few of my own sound issues...
