I like that they are insinuating that Barry Greenstein is basically giving them the fuck off about paying the 400K he owes unless Tapie pays the US players what they are owed.

Re: Response regarding money I owe to Full Tilt

Barry your lies are making me ill. If you were so noble and honorable you would have made arrangements to pay your debt when FTP was still FTP after Black Friday and before they were even having issues. You didn't because you are a fraud and a phony but most importantly because you are dead broke and can't pay.

Other people owing you money has nothing to do with you paying back FTP. Besides you said that you owe $382k but you were owed $150k. What was your excuse for not paying the difference in all these years? Ivey wouldn't loan you any more?

You are also lying when you claim you played on FTP before Stars had big games. You played on FTP while under contract with PokerStars and were in breach of contract since their company policy states that Team Pros were prohibited from playing on other sites. You did anyway.

If you want to be really transparent about how long this debt was owed why don't you tell the public what your username(s) you were using on FTP and when the money was loaned to you?

Tell the truth Barry. This whole moral BS about looking out for the players in the Tapie deal is an attempt to fool the 2+2 minions who adore you and think you are good guy or a God. It holds no weight when scrutinized. You could have privately paid that money back in April without PokerStars knowing or it going public. You didn't pay because you couldn't. Stop the stories about you being a high stakes baller and come clean about the fact that you are bankrupt.

Everytime I learn about these "live pros" and how much debt they've accrued I become less and less shocked. Seems like they are all just a bunch of degenerates playing on other people's money.

These guy were living high off the horse weren't they! Oh you need a few million, here you go no problem. Just pay it back whenever..or never.

You can bet that the government wants that money back before any deal gets done.

And who the FUCK would lend that drug addict Layne Flack one fucking dime??? I guarantee it went straight up his fucking nose.

It was like FT was their personal bank, one that had no requirements for loaning out huge chunks of change at their request.

Sounds like Groupe Bernard Tapie is trying to avoid paying U.S. players back and blame former FTP pro's instead.

Because of the mis-management and fraud by Ray Bitar why would Lindgren or Ivey payback a dime?

Fuck FTP and fuck this gay french Groupe Bernard Tapie.

Is there a single big name pro that was on TV during the heyday(Layne Flack or higher) that does not owe money or have sort of massive character problem? I know there are a few. Can someone list the good guys? Negranue?

I've heard Todd Brunson say things to the effect of all the "best" TV poker players all owe him $$$.

Negreanu has issues with alcohol which seem to be showing up again. All those old rants against Annie Duke and some others were not fueled by lemonade. He had his moments before the PS trains showed up to save him.

EDIT -- About DN -- I just meant he was in a bad money situation and was backed by Jen Harmon. Almost everyone of theses guys blow out when they don't have sponsorship money.

I don't have much of a problem with what Barry did. He was is betting on FTP going out of business. Would you want to pay FT 400,000 if and then they go out of business and the DOJ gets your money?

I also don't understand all the vitriol aimed at these players who owe FT money. They are not the problem. The people who lent them the money are problem.

I mean Layne Flack? He has almost no value or marketability at this point. I would rather see Layne Flack's friends who were the higher ups at FT who approved loans pay the money back.

To be honest if I owed FTP 400K like Barry does I would not have paid them after the Black Friday fiasco started because he had to know the money was getting pissed away by the higher ups.

I rarely watch any poker on TV anymore. It's almost always because I am online and bored and looking at big hands, crazy plays, etc.. I find negreanu to have a more condescending tone now than when he used to play (and he already came across very arrogant). I have always liked John Juanda, who seems to be one of the few "known" or "TV pros" that has some sort of morals about him.

I will say this, it's become clear that the MAJORITY (not just a few people like men the master and his bag of chips) of well known pros are self-serving, arrogant, and do not care about money they owe to anyone. When I just started out playing poker I used to yearn for the days of old. The "Old Vegas" where you could take a man by his word.

Now I am not sure what I wish for. Given the nature of poker and it's cutthroat mentality I am not sure if it will ever be a gentleman's game.

Sounds like a good time, my thoughts on it are though that if I go, it will be a one way trip. I can't stand this place anymore.
