I am casual player..been playn since the party poker days..
mainly played the steps.. the statelites to get into there sunday tourneys.
best finishes in their first sunday million 600 bucks.. played the 20 stud hi lo's 500 bucks.. etc..
when usa players were banned I joined pokerstars.. played on weekends
just micros and stuff. cashed out maybe 2 grand over 3 years.
I play the small shit. and have fun.

On blackfriday. i greated two new accounts .one for full tilt and one for
pokerstars. just to keep playn. within 3 hours of the ban i was playn
under a a new accounts.

I had a freind transfer me 2 bucks and ran it up to 100

I played for 4 months before getting caught . Think if was from
the hurricane that knocked out the server, and sent the IP address
back to my local server.

My account got frozen. I waited a week and created a new account.
This is where it go's to hell.
The whole time. i created another account for this woman online
that we were freinds but wanted more. She got jealous i was talking to this other woman on-line.
The chick emailed pokerstars about all 3 accounts and not
only confiscated the money in both accounts with $$ in them..
but froze.. my freakin Play money.. account.
NOW am banned for some time from pokerstars

Funny thing.. i got a new account.. but haven't started play it.

Any suggestions..
do u think i am screwed for this
or should i just keep playn?

LOL yea black fucked..
anybody want to know how to play..will let them know
What the fuck u going to do .. while banned in the USA
play freakin Facebook crap..and play money shit

To get you money off of pokerstars all you have
to do is create a homegame and dump your money to
your freinds.

they don't monitor those.
guess i am lettin to much info.. but doubt pokerstars monitors
this site.

If i get your story right you took $2 and ran it up somewhere in the double digits. Maybe they dont give a shit about your $43 roll, son.

if you just want to fuck around a little bit, go to bodog or merge.

Bodog you can get paid out in <2 weeks

and you wont have to deal w any bs. Much safer playing there than thru stars using a VPN

This is the new era of online poker for Americans at least for now so we just got to deal with it and attempting to get around it isn't worth your time or money if you make a whole lot. Even if a VPN worked which if they drop connection and come back your real IP can be shown forcing them to just confiscate your money but what is the point if you can't cashout being American?

When I came to Vegas this summer I played my normal tourneys on poker stars using team viewer, I think it worked ok but there was no sound and the screen space was very small and hard to see I wished I had a cable to hook my laptop to one of the tv,s in my room may have helped. Not to sure of the details of how it works but it seems to me if my server at home shut down the link would have been broken and no one would be the wiser. Please correct me if I am wrong

if connection fail.. it goes back to your original IP address
I have logged in thru United Kingdom.. on freinds account
with full access... Canada..and Mexico.

You have to be a computer constantly to watch.. connnection status

You have to log out once.. connection get's to 10%..
otherwise your ok..

Don't think USA will be legal till 2020

You might be able to get around this by using remote control software but you would have to have a PC setup in another country and there might be alot of internet lag.

If you really want to play poker on PokerStars you must moved to Costa Rica, Canada, Mexico, or some other country. Then you must obtain a bank account and local phone number for that country. PokerStars then calls you back at the new number plus you may have to send them verification of address, bank account, etc. not really worth it unless you make your living playing online poker.

This is exactly why Ive been telling people Fucking forget doing VPN. Use the same tool alot of internet traders use for Forex and other automated trading which WONT bounce back and show your IP. You want a VPS not a VPN.. On a VPS you are playing on a rented server/computer space under that IP addy.. They are dirt fucking cheap to get if you look online just google VPS. There are companies out there that have VPS datacenters in like London.UK and other places around the world besides the US. You just have to know where to look. Ive seen them for as low as 8.95 a month you dont have a lot of hardware needs just something that can run the poker client. Youd log in using RAS (or if your so inclined logmein hell with a software client on your VPS you can actually play the sites on your IPAD and what not using the remote access client).. And the best part if for some odd reason the system crumps your just knocked off like if you were at home and your regular IP is never exposed.. I used to do it awhile back when on rare ocassion I had downtime at work and could play some cash for an hour or 2 or a DON tourney on PS. I could log into my VPS and play poker without my employer having any clue I was playing poker (didnt need to worry bout it once I invested in a mifi device and had my own internet access overnights without using the 'guest' wireless access at work

So summary: If you really want to play the game you need VPS not VPN..

This is all and good, except for the fact that pokerstars is going to instantly know what's going on the second they resolve your IP to canadawebhostingcompany.com instead of Rogers or Bell Canada... the two largest residential internet providers in Canada.

I physically moved myself to Canada, got the bank account, got the phone number, and got the Canadian ISP... and Pokerstars STILL did their due diligence in making sure I wasn't playing from the US.

Don't even try it with Pokerstars... it's a suicide mission.

From what I read over at 2+2 stars is basically confident that they will be able to tell if you are using a VPN etc...

A lot of cryptic messages from HSNL players saying they have gotten the heads up not to try it from internal reps.

I dont know the computer jargon, but there have been a lot of threads about how much they can access your computer once they install the software.

I think Todd did a show that touched on it for his Pos EV show.

They operate outside the law so it wouldn't surprise me to know they have basically implanted spyware stuff. Not anywhere near bad as UB AB of course.

This VPS (Virtual Private Server) might work as long as it doesn't expose your true I.P. address.(if your in the United States)
Is there alot of internet lag when you use it?

After you go though this "verification" from PokerStars in whatever country your in Mexico, Canada, Costa Rica, whatever, you can play online from anywhere in the world, just not from an I.P. address from the U.S.

I'm guessing if your using a VPS from say London or any other place in Europe (and you are really in the U.S.), it shouldn't be a problem as long as you don't get flagged or snitched on by someone. Has anyone used a VPS to play on PokerStars or PartyPoker with no problems?

What if you go to Canada set everything up legit. Play in Canada, but come home a few times a month. Would a vpn/vps or whatever work in this case?
