Ok, casinos tend to be cold. I get that. But my local casino's poker room is freezing! It not only feels like a meat locker, but the vents have the cold air blowing right down on the back of your neck.

I know some people probably like this, but my hands are cold the whole 8-10 hour session, and that is with wearing two t-shirts and a hoodie type sweatshirt.

I look around the tables, and virtually everyone is wearing sweatshirts/jackets. and even their winter coats (when they brought them to the casino). I have complained (as have others), but nothing has been done, and doubt it ever will.

I dont need a jacket that is windproof, rainproof, or anything like that. I just need one that is extremely warm, but also very lightweight.

Since it is June, most stores arent going to stock a lot of this type of gear, so I will probably buy something online, and any recommendations would be greatly appreciated......

unless you are seven, this seems like something you can figure out on your own.

No matter how high you roll you'll always know you're just the store brand.

As I previously stated, most stores will not carry this type of merchandise in summer. Therefore, it is much more difficult to just "try on" different jackets.

There are a lot of posters here that spend hundreds of hours in cold casino poker rooms, and their recommendation is what I am looking for.

Thanks for your help however.....

Here in Detroit a hoodie is mandatory. As is a VanDyke during hockey playoff season.

Yeah, got the hoodie type jacket on, but still cold as hell in there. Plus, our casino has a stupid (no hoodie type rule), whereas you cant wear the hood on your head.

I know some people on here are hunters, campers, athletes, etc. and it would help me to know which product they think is the best, as I am sure I will be paying $150+ for a very thin, warm jacket.

Go to a camping store, or any type of store that sells camping, fishing, outdoor gear. They'll have plenty of shit for you. Shit made out of Thinsulate or other crazy miracle-fiber shit. Techwick, performance fleece, all sorts of shit to try, depending on what you are willing to wear.

Where do you live, eiu? Be easier to suggest a place if I remembered where you were, but in general, outdoorsy stores will have this gear year round.

I've never worn underarmour, but that might be a solid first layer against the cold. Multiple thin layers might be better than a jacket.

As much as I hate to admit it because it's fratboy wear, I have a North Face zip up that is comfortable as fuck. Pretty much the one below except mine doesn't have the big ass collar.
