Question for teaser experts:

I am seeing a lot of +3 lines that are a hair away from moving to +2.5. Usually they're listed as +3 (-130) or +3 (-135), and often the line is already at +2.5 on other books.

I have been teasing these, as to me it seems I'm really teasing +2.5 but getting an extra half point for free. The -130/-135 doesn't matter because that falls off when teasing.

What I'm doing is correct, right?

Well, correct or not (which I think it is), it worked out.

Both of those teams (Minnesota and Green Bay) went from a weak +3 all the way to -1 and -1.5 at some point. They never returned to +3, which means I got a great value. Both covered.

Looks like my teasers all won this week. Too bad I didn't bet more, but I wasn't crazy about the Giants and Ravens -7.5 which kept hovering very close to going to -7 in both cases.

Still cleared $2700.

Teased the following for $1000 to win $1800:

Washington +3 to +9 (excellent value, since I'm seeing Washington as +1.5 in most places)

Pittsburgh -8.5 to -2.5

Atlanta -7.5 to -1.5 (I'm seeing it as -8 in some places, so again the value seems good)

All won outright (against the spread) without the tease.

Was considering a parlay with Atlanta and Pitt because I thought both would cover, especially Atlanta.

Oh well.

I was on those three as well. You get greedy when all three would have covered straight up, but oh well.

Bodog definitely tries to rid itself of Wongable spreads, but in so doing loses efficient lines. If your bookie doesn't count the -130 or whatever, then its a gift (teasing to +9 etc.)
