After today's games!! If Alabama loses somehow I dont see how they don't get into the Championship game?? I also will be betting them no matter who they play so they prob will get beat by 32.. It is likely they will be playing the Big East team that gets an auto bid. U can actually see a better high-school game in Houston on any given Friday night then this mess of a game is gonna be.. Crazy weekend, I also think the books over reacted to the Favs all covering in the start of the season with some of these lines this weekend. If you laid the wood on some of these games then you should only be betting 50 dollars a game like me and Peter DC.

24 hours ago I did think so but after all the upsets today they very well could sneak in a BCS bowl game.
Clemson is the biggest epic fail over the past two weeks.
The Big 12 and Pac 10 now look like shit with Oklahoma and Oregon losing.

houston was a lock for the bcs regardless as long as they won because they were the non aq at large bid finishing in the top 15 of the bcs poll winning their conference. boise would have gotten it if they had beaten tcu sucks to be boise again because the would have had a real outside shot at a nc appearence with all the upsets this week

I thought it was based on the highest finishing BCS team from computer system which still has Boise State ahead of Houston?
Anyways, Houston will get rolled against a good team but it will be a good test for Keenum to see if they can at least score points which if they can it will be a high scoring game.

How many times does this need to get explained? You must be a champion of your conference for autobid from BCS. TCU is a 49 point favorite against New Mexico and wins the conference outright with a win. Boise did not win their conference. Again for non-BCS : win your conference, finish in the top 12 of the BCS or win your conference; finish in the top 16 AND finish higher than the worst BCS conference champion (BIG EAST and this is a lock for even a Southern Miss team with now 2 losses) Anyway, its not complicated. If UH won out they did not need any iof the upsets this weekend, if anything they did not help as Baylor may pass them in the BCS and USC win prevents them from moving up on their spot in that poll and they were never going to move up on Oregon without Oregon losing to State too. Not that it really hurt either. UH was 100% in bcs with a win out. However, even as a UH fan, Tulsa is the better team. They played Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Boise State. Their only losses. The computers have them equal to UH. They are at home. Then if they beat Tulsa in a battle they have a 50/50 chance of winning a equally good Southern Miss team has a 65% chance of beating a tired Cougar team the following week IMO. So Id give the Cougars a 35% chance of going to the BCS. I will bet anyone even money the Cougars dont win the next two games. They havent played a real team all year.

I don't pay attention to standings in weak conferences and forgot about TCU so that makes sense. That makes me happy since I want to see Houston play against a real team because I think they get crushed.

Again I dont think UH is going to win out. If they lose a game they are out. I think TCU has a better than 65% chance to land in the top 16. They need Clemson to beat South Carolina and then lose to Va Tech. Or just lose to S Carolina. They need favorable losses in the Big 10. they need Georgia to not win the SEC championship. Then they need Baylor not to leapfrog them with a win at UT. I think its going to come down to them playing Baylor and profiting just enough off Baylors wins to sneak into the 16 spot.

gamble is spot on.
UH is no guarantee to even win conference USA...which is terrible from top to bottom, and they always have a hard time with tulsa.

You mean the offense that put up 36 against UCLA? Texas put up 48 against that D and they aren't even in the AP poll. Hell Arizona put up that many against UCLA.
Fact is, and again I am a pretty big fan of UH, UH puts up all their points and yardage against teams like Rice, Georgia State, Marshall, Tulane, North Texas and UAB. These are teams that get manhandled by Sunbelt level competition. I didn't even look but I would bet that not one of the teams listed above won a D1 non conference game. These teams are fucking terrible man. They have played NOBODY.
UH offense doesn't work so good against SEC speed. Look Boise State is a model, they won with coaching and discipline first, then they recruited real talent. Boise State has blue chip athletes now in every position area. Houston does not. They dont even have coaching or discipline to beat a Missouri or Baylor level team much less a BCS team.
They are this years Hawaii, if they make it, except they don't even have a 50/50 shot of winning their conference.
I still believe they should be in as playoff fighting it out though, to quell these mythical matchup arguments.
