As mentioned rather early in the Justin thread, what he did to Micon was technically not illegal by Nevada law, so giving his info to the police would be worthless.

The only way I'd feel uncomfortable with a scammer's info being posted here is if there was a reasonable doubt of his actual guilt.

In verified cases of scamming (such as Justin's), these people deserve ZERO protection of their privacy.

Out of 250 million people online you probably can't show me two people that have died as a result of meeting people on a message board on a non-dating site. 1) The only people who could gain by knowing JSmiths information are people who he scammed. Any of them can pm you privately for that information. There is no reason that I or any casual poster need need to know Justin Smiths moms phone number or his SSN #. What am I gonna do with that info?????? Nothing.

2) In the past you have allowed just about everyones info to be posted here freely. Cmoney, Jewdonk, Hels, are just a few examples. And there was never a problem. It was not until someone posted felons shit that you actually gave a damn enough to remove it. Which leads to point #3

3) People don't want you and the other stooge mods deciding who is guilty and who is innocent. Imagine if you were a casual NWP'er and Weissman was an admin and your info got out. Would you want Weissman deciding whether your phone number or Miri's phone number could be posted on NWP? Of course not.

I agree with your point and liked that post. But there needs to be some caveats.

1. You say that peeps info should be posted to protect NWP and the uncensored moniker. I think that rule could hurt NWP. I know if I was new member who only felt comfortable posting as long as I was anonymous and saw peeps info being posted everywhere I wouldn't post.

2. I agree the big catastrophes you mention above have a very low chance of happening. But is it worth posting here if peeps start calling your job or your house, probably causing real life stress. Prob not for most peeps.

3. In the end I don't know what the right answer is as far as peeps personal info being posted (I am leaning toward post anything anytime) However I do know that there was a double standard implemented here by more than one MOD and that is BULLSHIT.

When is this going to be addressed.
