My name is Benton. I am a former Team Pro at FeltStars (they just released all the Team Pros earlier this week). I came across you and Micon's show a few months ago when a friend called to tell me that you guys made fun of myself and the other pros on FeltStars. Honestly, I can't say I disagree with your thoughts. After listening to that show I actually started listening each week through itunes downloads and since have become a big fan of the show (and I enjoyed last weeks +EV show as well). I actually approached FeltStars management a few months ago and told them they were missing the boat by not talking to you and Micon about representing the site, and by offering freerolls for DD members.Unfortunately they had no interest in more US pros, and they failed to see the marketing potential your show had to offer. Guess it was their loss.

Anyway, the reason I am writing to you is that my wife and I just had a son as well. He is 8 weeks old now. With the recent Black Friday occurences, I have decided to start playing more live poker. I live about an hour from the Beau Rivage in Biloxi Mississippi, and try to go there 3-4 times a week, and of course I still play online at both FeltStars and Bodog. Recently I scheduled a trip to the WSOP Circuit event in New Orleans. The plan was to go for 8 days, but unfortunately my wife called me after two days and said that it was too overwhelming taking care of the baby alone all night. I decided to forego the rest of the trip and come home and help her. Based on this experience I decided to cancel my plane flight/car rental for the WSOP in Vegas where I was going for 20 days. Ultimately, I just can't see leaving her alone again since 2 days was too much for her to handle. I have decided to skip the WSOP this year bc of this, which is kind of sad bc it will be the first one I miss since I turned 21 nine years ago. I know it is in the best interest of my family, so I can live with it.

My question to you is, going forward, how do you go about making poker trips where your girlfriend and Benjamin cannot join you? Is there a secret to it? I have hired a full-time Nanny during the day, but this doesn't help my wife at night. Are you able to make trips to play live, or is that not even feasible anymore? My wife works, and it just seems like an impossibility for her to work 7-5, then come home and take care of our son all evening, and wake up several times for his feedings.
