I never play pot limit, so I don't really know the correct strategy for it.

I've tried it a few times at the WSOP, and have always ended in failure.

I used to think it was kind of a hybrid between limit and NL, but it seems a hell of a lot more like NL. It seems like NL without the ability to make huge overbets.

Who here has Pot Limit experience? Would I be best off just playing it like it's NL?

I used to play a lot of pot-limit. I believe in some ways in is more skillful than NL, unless NL is very deep stacked (400BB+).

Pot-limit actually plays much bigger than NL because of the pre-flop game. Since there is somewhat of a "cap" pre-flop, you often can see the flop 3-4 handed, and that can create huge pots post flop.

Whereas in NL, the 3-bet pre, (when big), often will end the hand right there.
