Had a dream this morning that I won a bracelet in this.

Oh well.

Seemed like an epic comeback was in store, as I got down to 300 chips, and worked it back to 4200 in the NL part.

I took the beating in this one in the limit parts. Just a lot of beats and coolers.

The structure was awful, too.

We started out playing 25-50 NL, then 100-200 (50-100 blind) limit, then 50-100 NL, then 200-400 limit, then 75-150 NL/300-600 limit, followed by 100-200NL and 400-800 limit.

So you're playing 400-800 limit before the fourth hour of play is complete?!



To illustrate what a joke this is, the average stack was around 10k when the 400-800 level started. That's pretty much two hands.

I mean, that happens deeper in the event, but to be this way already by the fourth level is pretty ridiculous.

So my 4200 stack going into the 400-800 limit level was a one-hand-make-or-break situation, and it ended up where I had QJ suited in the BB, and got in a battle with the SB. He raised, I 3-bet, he 4-bet, I called.

So now the pot is already 3200 and I only have 2600 behind.

Flop came A-J-x, and I was pretty much committed to at least call it down. That's what I did, he showed AT, and I was crippled to 600. I chopped an ace-rag all-in after that, bringing me to 800. I got it in multiway with 8cTc (great multiway hand, obv), and almost hit with a 7-9-4 flop. But it bricked and I was gone.

Oh well. GL to China and Drexel.

Looks like china busted too. AA vs KK Druff did you play this event last year? I did and tried to tell china how awful the structure was before he played, but he said it was a huge edge for limit players. I think these are the worst structure for any tourneys I have ever played live.

I played last year and busted early, but I didn't remember the structure being THIS bad.

They really fucked it up.

I got really deep in 2008 (10th) and I remember the structure being way better. And it was only a $1500 buyin, which made the field bigger and softer.

The structure was def pretty bad for the limit portion but I still like the edge I had in the limit portion but it definitly makes it more of a crapshoot

So anyways Drexel taps me on the shoulder and tells me he just flopped kkk and Bloch hit a straight on the turn as he was telling me this is what happened, button opens for 575 I see AA in BB and make it 1700 he ships it I call qj10 turn 9 GG and me and Brandon get to have dinner together earlier than expected
