Not sure about Pinch Hitter, but he's definitely not still in.
Chinamaniac is still in with 13 left, and is guaranteed a cash of $9900 ($12k+ if he survives one more bust).
Unfortunately, he's the short stack.
Matt Matros, who won the $1500 event, is currently 2nd in chips, continuing the trend of last year of the same people always catching cards.
Jeff Shulman is still in with an average stack.

Yah I played with Matros for a while. Card rack for sure but he plays just about every button, hi jack spot and fights tooth and nail for blinds . Do that and run well and you get da chips especially when u run well
I was extremely lucky to finish where I did but I nursed my stack and it helped that I didnt get any hands I could play cause I prob would have busted if I faced coinflippish situations. I should have prob finished 2 money spots lower but I'll take it
Thanks for the rail guys , I think I am taking tomorrow off

Good job, China. I don't believe that playing every button and fighting for every blind is correct, unless you're up against passive opponents. You get stuck with a dominated hand too often, or you just flat out miss and have to fold to a raise. In fact, my downfall in the 1500 started with a J8o button raise where Hawrilenko 3-bet me. Flop came J-high and stayed J-high, he showed down QJ to take it. I lost the next hand with aces to a 1-outer, and I was virtually busted. Anyway, you did a great job considering never having a whole lot of chips, similar to Micon's 11th place finish in the NL 2-7 event.

And I predict Hansu Chu wins this one.
He's been deep many times before in these events, and he is a veteran of the 400-800 at Commerce.
He did lose to my brother heads-up for the first round of the limit shootout last year, but my brother agreed he was very tough.

Oh I totally agree with you. He was defending like 7-3 off making full houses and was raising all of Grapenuts (who is a HU specialist) sb from the button and raising all grapes BB from the SB. He was surprisingly having a lot of success too. Ya I never really did have chips and when I did shoot up I went on a little downer immediately every time. I just stayed patient and didnt chunk off with crap hands that I may have played with a bigger stack and I just floated all the way to where I got. It seemed I was playing so tight too, so I think when I raised hands people would lay down decent hands to me cause they figured I was real strong cause I was going orbits sometimes without playing or defending

I Predict Grapethein. Have you ever played live with him? He was easily the best guy I played the past week. I don't think he ever missed a bet or made any noticeable mistakes

Ah.. so that's who grapenuts is. Always wondered who that was. Guy just appeared on Stars 200-400 out of nowhere and was willing to play anyone HU. Never played with him before, though.
