Simple yes or no.
Raise from UTG I 3 bet him and he shoved, this is in the second blind level of miniFTOPS 1 I had KK and he had AA.
Of course he held up by anyway.
Can you ever fold them pre flop coz ive had this scenario 3 or 4 times this week now?

As Phil Laak once humorously put it "I wouldn't fold kings, even if the other player showed me his aces!"

The only time you can really fold it is probably bubbling a satellite, if your effective stack is your whole stack and you get isolated 3/4betted for all your money and it's very very near the satellite bubble then I'd say its ok to toss away. Especially if you are relatively deep and laying it down doesn't hurt your ICM at all.

In any other situation it becomes much harder, basically you would have to be the guys range on nothing less than AA, how often can you do that? lol

Only if I'm super close to the money and broke, and depend on winnings from the tourney to keep playing and someone who's been playing solid pushes. Otherwise, I always play them.

This.

I don't think I could fold kings myself preflop except in this situation. Why risk busting if you can easily make it in the money where everyone gets the same prize? I would go as far as folding aces in this situation if I had a chance of losing all my chips or almost all of them (this would be the ONLY time I would do this though)

ive folded kk preflop twice, and both times i was right. the key to this question is the situation- if the players in question are tight and theres 3 allins before you in an important part of a tourney i would fold. chances are one of them will outdraw you anyway even if you're fave preflop. not worth the risk sometimes. early in a tourney i would rarely fold them however as theres a lot of donks about, and it means theres a good chance to get a good stack and if u get beat it means not wasting countless hours of playing- but thats just my way of playing- when i play a tourney i want to either double up early or go out, nothing worse than grinding for hours to just get shafted in the end imo.

in cash games if someone is showing all the signs of AA when ive KK i prefer to try to just keep the pot small, and maybe steal on later streets- after all a lot of flops/boards are scary to AA.

bottom line: know your players

I fold kings all the time, usually when its nit vs nit action in front of me. But I don't think I would ever do it readless in an online MTT. If his range has anything other than AA-KK in it you are atleast flipping.

I could fold KK if I was near the bubble. But, I have also bubbled, not going in with my KK.

Only if i would be near the bubble and the stakes would be really big.Really don't understand people who do manage to fold KK when up against AA.
