Wow this week has been like a cyclone. I keep finding more and more tasks. Last I left off I was sick and was put on some antibiotics. Well they worked a bit and flushed out whatever was wrong for the most part but I am still hacking up yellow stuff and I still have some cold symptoms so looks like it is back to the doctor tomorrow. I was through will my meds on Friday and still was feeling under the weather and I should have hit the old doc then but instead I decided to head out in 95 degree heat with 75 percent humidity and jog a few miles. Well let's just say that wasn't the best Idea. As I was driving home I was sweating my nuts off and I couldn't wait to get in the shower but I got home and just wiped out for about 8 hrs. So all in all I have had a very unproductive week outside of poker.

Poker was like a whirlwind this week up and down and up and down and up and down. I managed to get ahead just about every day mostly playing 3-6, 4-8 and 5-10 and a little 10-20 . Then at the end of the night someone joins me at 10-20 and runs like god and wipes me out. Like for the days I would be up 50 BB but the one loss kills. It kinda sucks now because the action above 5-10 is few and far between but I have been getting a lot of action above that on cake.

But all in all my week was about break even heading into Saturday and I was kinda beat so I just played Stars for the day. I got a ton of 3-6 heads up action and racked up about 700 in profits so the day was a success.

I was just about to shut my browser and some guy pops up at my 30-60 and I was debating on not playing as I was real tired and didn't want to wash my profits away but I played him anyways and let's just say by the time the match was over if I was on his side of the screen I would have smashed a monitor. I flopped top 3 pair the first 3 hands and won all 3 pots as he had second or third best every time. Then comes the big 4th hand and I am holding 86 off and I raise and he just calls pre. Flop rolls off A52ss and he checkraises me. I decide to peal one off as he may have a draw or a 5 or 2 (and I have 2 overs on that) and I have a backdoor flush draw and backdraw straight draw. If I get no help I am through with the hand. Well I obv hit an 8 on the turn and a 6 on the river and pumped in a raise and he went off on me calling me a donk , a poker droid among other things. Well the match continued and I wiped him out for about 1200 or so and then he joined me @ 15-30 and I just repeated everything there.

So all in all it was a great day but I just wish I felt better so I can start pounding the gym again. Today I woke up and went and looked at a new apartment. The place is sick and everything about it is much better and it is cheaper than where I am living now. Right now I am living 1/4 mile from Boston and the place is very old (like 1800s old) and big and everything is modern and done over but it is a little expensive cause it is real close to the city.

The problem I have had here is ever since I have moved in here my allergies have been killer and I have been getting sick a lot. I am on the first floor and the basement here is dirt and it is a disaster. the problem with dirt basements typically in old houses is the production of radon gasses and excessive mold get in the air and they are very bad for you. From what I have read radon will cause flu like symptoms short term and if the levels are high then it can lead to lung cancer so I decided to GTFO of here. I brought this up to my landlord and they are testing now just to check.

So as it stands I will most likely be moving into this new place August 15th. It is great because it is a little bit cheaper,has a pool, clubhouse and a nice state of the art fitness center and it is really close to most of my immediate family. I can also ditch the DSL and get back to Comcast or Verizon Fios. Speaking of Verizon does anyone know if you can get the red zone channel on there for NFL? I may stick with Verizon but the problem is I have a bundle with them that has Direct TV because they don't offer Fios in this area. Might be a tricky situation if they force me to stay with dirtect tv because I am under contract till next March. If they let me out I may be able to get a sweet deal with Comcast for signing up. I have to look into all of that this week.

Other than that I have a busy week ahead. One thing I am going to do is contact my health insurance and see if I am covered for Lasic surgery for my eyes. If I am I will book that asap. I am sick of contact lenses and I wear my glasses 95 percent of the time. Will just be easier to get my eyes zapped so everything is HD. Another thing I have to take care of is a $3500 medical bill from a hospital stay in Vegas. Does anyone know exactly how unpaid hospital bills work? I know they don't affect your credit but tf you apply for a loan can they use that against you in any way shape or form or do I have the rest of my life to pay this?

I also have to set up dates for a couple of fantasy drafts this week as well and figure out who is in and who is out. Speaking of which if you were in my league last year and want in or out and you haven't contacted me yet can you let me know. I am going to set the draft date and time this week and if I don't hear back from people by the weekend then I am going to start filling spots.

So this should be a busy 6 weeks ahead. I have 4 drafts, a wedding and have to move and juggle some drafts in while trying to grind up the cash online, And as if it can't get any worse I have to go Tuesday and get a set of braces for my teeth and jaw . Yes braces!! Some people have said to me do you really want to get braces now? And the answer is yes. I have to because my bite is way way off , I can afford them and I should have gotten this taken care of 10 or 20 years ago. When I was younger my dentist told me I should get them but it wasn't absolutely necessary and I fought with my parents about not getting them. I really wish I got this over with then. Then about 10 years ago my bite started to get way off and and I just put it off because I really didn't give a shit then. But whatever they are coming Tuesday and I am not looking forward to it but it is something I have to do.

I have been working on the forums here a bit as well. When we started the site we just tossed it up in a matter of a few days without thinking things through. Right now it seems to me that just tossing up a poker forum without going through pros and cons was a mistake. I mean for 1 you have 4 or 5 forums that have been up for years and they basically control the forum market on the web and that's just the way it is. But then again it didn't cost me anything, me and a some other players have really helped each others games with strategy and we have made a little money so I am not complaining.

What I did do is juggle the forums around a bit and changed the layout a smidge. For one I think we should have made Venom a sportsbetting /sportsnews/sports discussion forum with a sporting url and made poker the secondary aspect of the site but you know what they say hindsight is 20-20 right? The sporting aspect and handicapping of games this fall and providing picks and analysis and strategy will be first and foremost what I would like to gear the site towards and that's just the way it is going to be with poker second and goofy shananigans 3rd. We will continue to upgrade and add new stuff and possibly move the content to a new URL at some point but for now it is what it is.

Good luck playing and stay the fuck away from moldy buildings, I lived in one and actually battled black mold in my shower. I use the word battled intentionaly because this fucking mold would not die! Tilex wouldn't kill it neither would bleach. You could wipe out the surface mold with tilex and some shoulder grease but 2-3 days later not only would it be back but it spread room to room throughout the apartment. Never saw anything like it, you could go into a bedroom go to sleep wake up and see small deposits of black mold on the windows where all the precipitation had collected overnight. I ended up calling the apt manager and the building was shut down for a while as they tried to eradicate the mold. Supposedly they got rid of it but for some reason I doubt it. Never set food in that shithole again.

Ya I just talked to the maintenance guy and he said he tested for everything because an infant was living on my floor previously and he says there is nothing wrong here but they are retesting.

But then again it has been very very humid here for 10 + days and just the fact that the place is old gives me the creeps. Meh time to move on

Tell them you are currently unemployed with no job in the future and can borrow some money from a relative to resolve this. Be firm about the amount you offer them, keep telling them that is the amount you can settle this for and this is the only amount you will ever be able to pay back. Before you send them any money tell them you need a settlement letter from them saying that the account is settled in full and you have no future legal liability and the matter is closed. DO NOT SEND THEM A DIME UNTIL YOU HAVE THIS LETTER IN YOUR HAND!!! Overnight them certified check from a bank, make sure you keep a copy of this with your records along with the settlement letter. You will find that some collection departments will demand a check by phone sometimes postdated, under Mass. collection laws it is illegal to request postdated checks. Using this technique I was able to save a bundle of money on medical copays last year. Good luck.
