Ok - I've asked dozens of friends and even gone to the SHS (Student Health Center) to figure out what to do.

Now I know none of you are doctors, but maybe some of you have experienced this and have gotten rid of it.

So yes, anyone get vertigo and know how to eliminate it?

For those who don't know, it's much like the spins only without any alcohol consumption. I'll be walking to class and all of a sudden I can't walk in a straight line and am trying to not fall over. There are times when Ill fall down and hold onto the ground cause it's like I'm falling off the planet.

I have Sudafed and dramamine which apparently can help but that this prevents me from going to class - I'm getting scared that I'll be driving and it will happen - I'd be so fucked.

I know something of this...they now know that little crystals or blocks callen Annechonia in the inner ear, may be the problem for some vertigo sufferers. These crystals tumble back forth when the head moves and for some reason they can get buggered up. Chiropractors and physiotherapists now provide a number of simple head movement exercises that can fix it more often than not

Is that prescription? And is it non-drowsy?

I suffer this in a similar fashion as you do. It really sucks in fact I am having a slight bout of it today. Like Limitles said it's usually an inner ear problem. I also take dramamine but it doesn't seem to help much. You can also try this exercise http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Epley_maneuver , but yeah you should get it checked out to make sure which kind you have. I've been diagnosed by a regular doctor a while back and I think I'm going to see a neurologist soon to see if I can get some further advice.

Meclazine is the same thing as dramamine its just the precribed kind. Most insurance wont even cover it because it is exactly the same as the over the counter brands. Supposedly It may cause less drowsiness. I've taken both and cant tell a difference at all.

Be careful about going to the neurologist - I went in for headaches a few times and they diagnosed me with Chronic Headaches, which means they don't know what the fuck is wrong with me and I get them everyday, 24/7.
