One of the problems with running a poker-facing website such as DonkDown is that Druff and can be a little lazy. Recently two UB / AP security issues came up and while Druff was likely at least half way erect, he has not beaten back the throes of passion long enough to give you a complete write-up. So I'm going to drop you the needful links, and then Druff is going to explain this shit for you in detail a bit later. First, the old: Check out Haley Hintze's blog for some amazing screenshots and further details from the AP side of the cheating scandal. Now the new: UB / AP security was basically a total joke until yesterday. The self-proclaimed "strongest poker software in the world" was actually the weakest - up until *yesterday* the boys at PokerTableRatings (btw it's a fantastic site - you can get lost in the stats for hours) could have sniffed your hole cards, username, and password if you were on a wireless network and they were in close proximity. Pretty wild - they could have sat at Commerce and just loaded up u's and p's until they were rich. Really glad those guys are on the right team! Druff will explain this better, I promise. UPDATES: UB says they read the internet and here is a bonus post from their blog in 2009 about security tips!
