Yeah, Not a blogger. I like micro-blogging. But every now and then, you have to slow it down and holler in your ear a bit:
Seriously, the DraftDay Ad got mad props. preciate all the positive feedback. Let me again post another blog dick-teasing you. I am cooking shit up on the internet right now. It's like Breaking Bad and I'm Walt.. or more the kid I guess... I found a good Walt to cook up the purest, most potent product on the market today. I know the proof will be in the pudding, but I'm super-excited about it. It's time to build the place that has been rattling around in my head for the last decade-ish. I promise there is some bad ass shit about to drop all over your face. I'm going full force ahead on this bitch, and it feels great.
We going to keep making great radio shows and make the uncensored poker forum as cool and feature-rich as it can be. Soon degenerates, soon. Hopefully an early Christmas present. From a jew.
Yup, I'm even lazy when it comes to blogging. No shocker. (that's what she said...) So let me randomly at this point in time write some things to update anyone who cares to read this about some stuff with me and this site. In short, the WSOP sucked, I feel I played really well, I cashed in the main event and one other $1500 O8, the very first and very last events I played. Between those was a whole love of good play, bagging up chips, day 2s, bubbles, and general unlucky runs. I am still very confident in my mixed game tournament play, and the small sample size of tournaments that is the WSOP equaled = 10's of K's for me this year.
Furthermore it has finally hit me that my government has turned off my internet poker. Fuck the DOJ and fuck whoever was the motivating force behind the super-crackdown we experienced on April 15th of this year. Land of the free and whatnot... a a tax-paying adult I cannot spend my money as I see fit. Fuck that with a thorny stick. I going through some real soul searching right now. Move out of Vegas? But I love Vegas... hell, I'm about to have a really good meal at 2:19am... either Lasagna from Guiseppe's with their awesome Cesar salad or maybe Marnee Thai basil chicken - where the atmosphere is almost as good as the food - I'll call in the order to Marnee, then when I pick it up there will be a dozen drunk Thai natives singing Celine Dion's "My heart will go on" in Thai. I will recognize the tune but not the words. And the singing will be horrible no matter what nationality you are. Fuck me, I love this town. Not to say moving to a foreign country wouldn't be a cool adventure for me and my wife, I just really, really love this town.
Lastly I would like to say that against all odds, DD 2.0 is being once again worked on behind the scenes. Yeah, I don't even believe me until I see it either. But with that teaser, as of this posting I am very hopeful and dedicated to work very hard to make this site how it has looked in my head for over half a decade. I have never been able to make my vision show up on the page, and the fault lies squarely with my lazy ass. Lets see if I can do it this time...
You have to give credit to Full Tilt Poker for always innovating. Their first bit of shenanigans they dropped on us were the semi-fail "Matix Tournaments" which to this day are little used, but you have to respect them trying. The next and most successful innovation was "Rush Poker" - now that shit really took off. There are a few thousand people playing that form of poker right now, and you really have to hand it to them for thinking outside the box. There was a server restart last night, followed by a large FTP update, and now we see in the lobby "Multi-Entry Tournaments." Wow, what a great idea. When registering for a tournament, you can hit a drop down box where you can select the number of entries you would like into the tournament. Paging ZeeJustin / JJProdigy! Really cool idea IMO, and I can't wait to play tournaments with multiple entries! You can see all the Full Tilt Multi-Entry tournament info here, and to my understanding it works like this: lets say you enter a tourney 4 times. 4 tables pop up, each with a starting stack. It appears that FTP will always keep your entries at different tables, until there are less tables in the tournament than you have entries - meaning that if you have 4 entries into a multi-entry tourney, and get down to 3 tables, two of your stacks will "merge." I believe that will be a very good thing to have happen, assuming you are entering a large field tourney you will have had to run multiple accounts really deep. What will really happen with this? We shall see...
In other news I pwnt the $215 HORSEament on 'Stars each Sunday for around $6k. I think I've won that 1 a handful of times now, and some lucky CMU'ers bought some $3 shares that quickly became $60! I have been selling around 20% of all my Sunday $200+ tourneys, and 1 guy bought 10 shares of my HORSEament win this Sunday and made around $600! I heart my CMU buyers, and hope to make them some more $ this weekend.
We've had our differences in the past via Twitter, and I know you guys have seen him blowin' up various poker pros via the self serving social site (and if you haven't, check out http://www.twitter.com/asianspa) - And now I am proud to announce that the one and only Asianspa will be dropping his knowledge and spitting his hot fire all over DonkDown's blogs. Of course he needed a site like ours to have the full uncensored framework needed to blow up spots and call out posers. So without further BS, check out Asianspa's blog:
--> ASIAN SPA'S BLOG ON DD dy fashion. Prahlad doesn't realize that he was not only cheated out of that money, but also future money as the UB cheat decimated his bankroll at the time (remember how good poker was in 2005?). I can easily see why UB would want Prahlad, as Annie Duke and Phil Hellmuth just bolted from the cheatsite, leaving a large void for a big name. I really like Prahlad, he was a great interview for DD Radio and he seems like a really stand up guy. I sure hope he doesn't make a huge career mistake by signing with UB. I feel I should call him personally so he's not just getting the full court press from the UB crew telling him how great it would be to rep the cheatsite.

Jullian Assange is the man. His Wikileaks organization has managed to piss off most of the world. Personally, I'm pretty pissed off at Bradley Manning, the leaker of the major headshot of semi-secret shit that will damage the USA. Conversely, I heart Jullian Assange, who certainly has put his life on the line for what he believes in: true, unabated freedom of speech. Today Jullian was arrested, and I want to go on record now as saying he will cleared of the rape charges, and they will ultimately be exposed as politically motivated. Also today Visa and Mastercard followed Paypal's lead in exiting the business of processing Wikileaks support payments, a source of money that Wikileaks relies almost 100% on. One can only speculate at the political motivations behind these almost simultaneous, high profile withdraws from two staunch competitors in the payment processing industry. The optimist in me would have loved to see a major payment processing company stand up for freedom of speech, but there is likely too large of a business detriment attached to that stance.
So what does this have to do with internet pokers and Harry Reid, who if you believed Sharron Angle's borderline insane campaign commercials a few months ago, was responsible for the entire housing crisis? Well let me explain: Earlier yesterday rumors starting floating around the internet that there was a bill to alter the legality / taxation / regulation of online poker. Originally this information showed up on 2+2, which is currently (and unfortunately) the main poker collective conscious of poker players. Oddly enough, the moment this bill was posted online there were calls to delete it, as the 2+2'ers decided that posting this information would somehow cause the bill not to pass. And with DD being the TMZ / Wikileaks of the poker internets, I twittered asking for a copy of this bill, and low and behold it shows up on page two of this thread (albeit posted by Druff.) This is a small win but more importantly illustrates the purpose of DonkDown - if a piece of information is deemed too hot for other poker organizations, we will work hard to host it here. Wikileaks style. Mental note: go to firing range and hone gun skills this month.
If you haven't heard via our forum, my twitter, or facebook then allow me to say it on my blog -
I GOT MARRIED!
My lady and I recently tied the knot in an awesomely shenanigans Las Vegas quickie wedding, followed by a very nice dinner with a few friends. I couldn't be happier, as I know this time around I'm truly in love and very much want to spend the rest of my life with my beloved Martha. I feel like I won the main event meeting this girl, and I will gladly profess my love for her to the entire internet. After the wedding we jumped a plane to sunny, exciting Indianapolis to spend the holidays with my folks. Was really a lovely time. I know, kind of a sappy, content-less blog if you already knew, but hey, I'm in love. I guess I will drop you a few pictures to save it:
1) Barry vs. Brandon HU super-turbo for best man + witness:
2) another pic of the epic, 1-hand HU match, for real totally not rigged and Brandon makes the nuts:
Almost forgot the most important part of the new DD blogs. I really wanted these here so we could protect user blogs, ensuring that anyone with a DD account could quickly post something that they need public. Sometimes ideas get lost in the forums, and sometimes a personal blog is the correct place for information to live. If you say something controversial, it will not be taken down. You are only confined by our local laws and by the general DonkDown code of ethics - meaning no child porno, no terrorism type stuff, and personal info posting limited to extreme scammers and criminals. Things that have been taken down from other sites, such as strong stances towards certain online poker sites, will most certainly be protected here. If you have been scammed by someone and want a strong Google presence to tell your story, DD is your spot. If you just want to bitch or brag about your pokers and all the hot women you have slept with, we are also your spot. Good luck, Godspeed.
This is the day DD officially had real blogs. We have always had some half-assed plug in type of thing, but now we finally have the real deal. they are not perfect yet, but LAKingsFan has put in some xtra special work on them and they will continue to get better. Part of our "building DD 2.0 slowly until we find our DD savior" plan. Can't thank the Kingsfan enough, these blogs are sweet and I plan on using them frequently. Please drop us a shout in the forums or PM him if you find something wrong or something that could be more right.
Bryan Micon. I did a "thriller dance" during the 2006 WSOP coverage on ESPN. I created Neverwinpoker in 2004. I lead the Donkdown team and with their help am trying to create an uncensored fair and awesome place for all things poker community, including the kick ass and unforgiving DonkDown forums.
